Insurance is a mechanism through which a person transfers a risk (s) to a professional risk carrier in this case, an insurance company at a consideration called premium. The insurance company in return promises to compensate the policyholder/insured when a loss occurs.

Insurance has parties to it. The first party, is the owner of the vehicle or property. The second party is the Insurance Company and the third party is any other person who may be affected by the contract/policy.

Third party policy covers the following risks: Death or injury to a third party
  • Natural calamities
  • Man-made calamities
  • Personal accident
  • Third party legal liability
  • Any permanent injury /death of:
    • a person
    • Any damage caused to property

For Transfer of Insurance from one owner to another you need to submit the below mentioned documents.

  • Current policy document
  • Formal consent from the current insured to change the ownership of the insurance
  • New application form with KYC details and payment of any additional premium if applicable

You will need All Risks Insurance cover, which covers all items including if they are portable Worldwide.

It is important to declare the full details of each item, including serial numbers, to ensure the cover fits your needs.
